Inputs and Outputs
High-level inputs: Speaker level inputs using spring-type terminals permit connection with your stereo
amplifier or receiver. This input is used to derive a signal for your subwoofer amplifier from
a high-level speaker output from your main full range amplifier. This section will sum the
left and right inputs to a mono signal that is reproduced by your subwoofer.
High-level outputs: The high-level speaker outputs provide a pass-through of the original high-level signal.
This enables the main speakers to be connected to the high-level output on the subwoofer
instead of the rear of your main amplifier. This high-level out does not have any filtering,
and will exactly transmit the response of the original signal. If you do not use a high-level
input, there will be nothing sent to the high-level output.
Low-level inputs: Line level RCA inputs to connect the pre-amp or line level outputs of the full range
amplifier to the inputs of the subwoofer amplifier. The inputs are internally summed to
Subwoofer connection: Wire leads that are terminated with insulated .250 female slip-on connectors. The red wire
is the positive (+) connection, the black wire is the negative (-) connection.
Power switch: On, Off, and Auto mode. The auto-on setting is designed to allow the amplifier to turn itself
on and off depending on if an input signal is detected. When in auto-on mode, the power
LED will be red if there is no input, and will turn green when an input is detected. Once an
input signal ceases, the amp will turn back to standby mode (red LED) after
approximately 15 minutes.
Gain: Adjusts the output level of the subwoofer amplifier.
Frequency: Used to determine the frequency of the internal variable electronic crossover. Adjustable
from 60 Hz to 200 Hz, with a slope of 12 dB per octave.
